Legislative Day 2026

On May 20, 2026, over 100 leaders from the community action network across Michigan came together for Michigan Community Action's annual Legislative Day. Directors, staff, and board members came together to advocate on behalf of Michigan's poor and the agencies that daily rise to the challenge of supporting them on their journey to self-sufficiency and economic opportunity. In addition to presenting two Legislator of the Year Awards, MCA also paid tribute to volunteers and clients from several member agencies. These awardees demonstrated in practice the very Promise of Community Action. Videos shared that day and photos from the event are shared below.
